Our designer, Chatree Tengha is a shy, thoughtful person, the only man on the team.
Before joining Shaka as a head designer, he was the winner of the Thailand Young
Designers Award, th e Makuhari Grand Prix at Asia Collection and was second
runner-up in the Young Asian Fashion Designers contest in Singapore. His apparel designs have been known for more bringing a strong conceptual than practical and casual. Chatree has had experience designing for mass market fashion companies and has taken on a number of freelance design jobs. He brings this idealistic and
conceptual vision to practical and casual clothing designs. He draws inspiration from art, music and films which manifests itself constantly in his companion sketchbook. His love for the geometry of clothing, for sculptural shapes and for intricate hand-work all come together in his designs. His love for math and form can be seen in the way his geometric designs hang perfectly across a woman's body. His first admired was Pierre Cardin, but later on he drawn to the more sculptural approach to clothing of Issey Miyake. Now he is in a phase of mixing and layering unusual fabrics and fabric combinations together to create collectionsof garments which are innovative but still practical. Chatree's goal is to create clothes for women which are like pieces of
sculpture: simple in form but beautifully made and comfortable to wear.
Kamonchanok— a designer who has a strong passion for crafts and a minimal taste but is very thorough on features and accessories singled out from her passionate craft works. She has gone on extra miles with exclusive brands and those brought her to deliberately work. A handful of craft works, which includes embroidery, weaving, crewelwork and add-on ornaments, primarily inspire her. On top of that, she delights her designed apparels with symbolic colors from local cultures. That makes her apparels unique and vitalizes a beauty of a woman. She never goes wrong on materials and inventive thinking and that can be markedly seen from her first move with us, Shaka Capsule collection, Absolute Siam AW16 and ongoing collections. Besides, she is in a constant stage of chewing over creativity and couture to bring out contemporaries. Eagerly working all the details and gimmicks causes brand better off. Her design attitude is about ‘to shine masterpiece on apparel is to take every step of minor details to her heart’ so that people can sense and have more confidence when Shaka’s is on.

By considering a tone dragging her into a creativity world, she prefers a cozy mood at workplace. What’s more, not only drawing unfolding stories, but films, music and architectures also sweep her off her feet and render her infinite capability. Kelly Beeman—her favorite fashion illustrator— who is superb at composition and picking colors, has emboldened her to sketch a graphic on fabrics. Her gift teaming up new colorings with new trends is terrific. We are proud of her since she came partner with us with Autumn Winter 2015 collection.
